Beginning of the gardening apprenticeship of founder Heinz Schlangen

1975

Founding of the nursery as an independent business on a small plot of land

1988

Changeover to the production of young plants, mainly the propagation of cuttings

1992

Construction of 25 large tunnels with a production area of 15,200 m²

1999

Expansion of container production by 3 ha, expansion of Buxus sempervirens production to approx. 50% of turnover

2007

Calluna and Erika cease to produce cuttings

2008

Establishment of the production of ground covers in P11 pots

2014

Development of the Little Garden program, standardization of pot sizes to the P11 and simultaneous discontinuation of Buxus production

2014

Focusing on Christmas as the third shipping season, setting up production of Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Ellwoodii’ and Conica in various pot sizes with complete production lines

2016

Expansion of container production by 3 ha, discontinuation of ground cover cuttings production

2017

Expansion of container production by 11 ha

Start of production of ornamental grasses in C2 containers

2020

Completion of the automated irrigation system

2021

Certification of the production of Prunus (cherry laurel) according to the EU organic standard.
