Step 1

Dig out the planting hole – this should be at least twice the size of the root ball.

Step 2

Enrich the excavated soil with ⅓ ripe compost or good plant soil.

Step 3

Before planting, immerse the plant in water until no more air bubbles rise.

Step 4

The roots should be 2-3 cm below the surface of the soil.

Step 5

Carefully tread down the soil and water well.

Step 6

Certain hedge plants should be pruned back after planting for dense and rapid growth. We recommend pruning cherry laurel the length of a pair of secateurs (15-20 cm), but not pruning thuja.

Tip: The hedge can only be made opaque if it is cut regularly. Pruning is also advisable for larger plants. The plants then sprout well branched, strengthened and quickly sprout again.
